Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been doing wedding florals?
We have been a full service retail florist and wedding florist since 1999. Debbie Personette has been leading weddings and events since the beginning and has not only been through every imaginable circumstance, but has been regularly keeping herself and the Bloomers design team up to date on trends and techniques since the beginning by regularly taking classes and doing workshops with other well known event florists. The learning never stops and we love it!
When should I book my florist?
There are two ways to think about it..
1. If flowers are an important part of your wedding and you trust your florist , book them asap! Dates during peak wedding season (April-June.. or September/October) fill up fast. Even if you don't know what you want, if you have that gut feeling that they are right for you, just do it!
2. Once you know your color scheme. The rest of the details will be discussed in your consultation.
How do consultations work?
You can schedule either an in person consultation with us or we can do it over the phone, be ready to answer questions regarding your needs and wants for the day. You don't have to have every detail figured out, but if you have a rough idea of what you're looking for, we can help you figure out the rest.
Consults can last up to two hours, sometimes we get chatty! So leave some wiggle room in your schedule
How can I prepare for my wedding consultation?
Pinterest is a great way to prepare! Pin everything that appeals to you, style and color wise. We will pull from the photos you've showed us and create a separate mood-board. You may think that you're all over the place, but typically we see a pattern and that helps us tailor your floral needs to fit your own unique style.
How do i establish a budget?
If you have a budget that you need to stick to, tell us! If you're not sure, don't worry. The best advice we can give is to make a list of everything you want, even that lush installation or floral chandelier. During the consult we can price out everything you want first, then once you see the initial proposal we will work with you to narrow it down or add to it! Nothing is final until about 6 weeks before the wedding!
